Cosmin Ciausu
Research Scholar
Cosmin Ciausu, MSc, is a research scholar at AIM focusing on the development of AI clinical applications for radiation oncology. He is enrolled as a first-year Ph.D. candidate in the GROW track at Maastricht University. He is also part of the Radiation Oncology Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, focusing on the development of AI solutions aimed at the clinic.
He was previously working as an AI-focused imaging engineer in the Radiology Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, focusing on evaluating AI-based tools using public DICOM imaging data under the Imaging Data Commons (IDC) team.He obtained his MSc degree at Boston University, Boston, USA, focusing on AI applications. He obtained his BSc degree in computer science at CY-Tech, France.Through his exposure to the medical field and experience with AI applications, he believes AI-based solutions could automate, even partially, time-consuming medical tasks, leading to more efficient and patient-focused medical systems.
