Mees Hudepohl
Research Scholar
Mees Hudepohl, a PhD candidate at Maastricht University’s GROW School for Oncology and Developmental Biology, is conducting research at AIM into the application of Deep Learning in cancer imaging. Before starting her PhD, she spent half a year at AIM for her graduation research project, focusing on the technical aspects of Machine Learning. She graduated from the Master's program in Artificial Intelligence at Utrecht University, where her focus was on Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
Additionally, she is highly interested in Image Processing and Medical Imaging, which led her to participate in research at the Image Sciences Institute (ISI) at the University Medical Center Utrecht. There, she explored the implementation of deep learning for automated medical imaging tasks. She has developed a strong interest in applying deep learning to medical imaging in oncology and she envisions a future where Artificial Intelligence is widely accepted and utilized in radiology and oncology
