Ahmed Hassan

Ahmed Adly, MSc is a Ph.D. candidate at AIM Harvard Medical School and Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Ahmed’s interests include machine learning, medical imaging, and image processing. Therefore his current research focuses on advancing radiology and oncology through computer vision and deep learning under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Aerts.

Ahmed received his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and Medical Physics with a focus on AI for medical Imaging from the Technical University of Munich in Germany, after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Debrecen in Hungary. Previously, he was a Deep Learning Graduate Researcher at Philips, Netherlands – where he worked on Accelerating MRI using AI. He also worked on relevant projects in Hungary and Germany at the University of Debrecen Hospital and Klinikum Rechts der Isar. He has been awarded the TalentUD award for excellence in research and creativity during his bachelor’s. In addition to presenting his work during his master’s at Medical Imaging with Deep Learning (MIDL) Conference.
