Resident
Dr. Qian received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry summa cum laude from Yale College, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He remained at Yale for medical school, where he received a NIH research fellowship for work examining synergy between radiotherapy and immunotherapy in the treatment of brain metastases, and was also recognized as a Farr Scholar for research excellence and creativity. Subsequently, he completed internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center before moving to Boston.
His research interests include oncology, artificial intelligence (AI), and the intersection between radiotherapy and immunotherapy. His current work focuses on the use of AI to develop imaging-based biomarkers to predict both survival and toxicity outcomes in cancer patients, particularly those treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors. In addition, he is interested in the interactions between cardiovascular disease and cancer treatment, including cardiovascular disease as a predictor of cancer treatment outcomes and as a potential toxicity from cancer treatment itself.
