Roman Zeleznik

Roman Zeleznik, MSc is a research scholar at AIM and a visiting scholar at Harvard Medical School. He received his Master of Science degree in Computer Vision and Graphics as well as Machine Learning from the Graz University of Technology in Austria after he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Computer Engineering from the same university. Additionally, he holds a degree in mechanical engineering. Mr. Zeleznik was awarded an Austrian Marshall Plan Fellowship to conduct his master’s thesis project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). It was during this scientific visit at MIT that Mr. Zeleznik discovered his passion for research and love for Boston. 

Mr. Zeleznik is currently enrolled in the PhD program at Maastricht University, The Netherlands, at the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML) as well as at the School for Cardiovascular Disease (CARIM). His research interests are focused on image processing and machine learning and their application in Cardiology, Radiology and Radiation Oncology. Mr. Zelenzik moved to Boston to follow his passion, to apply his knowledge and education to cancer research.
